ANAHEIM, CA. Forrest Fisher of Franklin, TN was among more than 350 attendees, including piano technicians, manufacturers, and suppliers who attended the Piano Technicians Guild Annual Convention and Technical Institute.

More than four days of classes covered all aspects of piano service. The curriculum also included business and health and wellness classes. An exhibit hall offered attendees the chance to inspect new tools, inspect different pianos and talk to industry representatives while evening events and awards banquets drew attendees from around the world.

In particular the exhibit hall welcomed a new piano manufacturer, Norberg Pianos. Norberg Pianos is based out of Calgary, Alberta, CA and are manufactured in Shanghai, China. Visit www.norbergpianos.com for more information.

Aside from the institute classes and exhibit hall, the PTG foundation put on a couple evening piano concerts featuring pianists Frederic Chiu and Alexander Agate, and the Larry Crabb Barbershop choir gave a performance near the end of the convention.

An annual event since 1958, the PTG Convention is the world’s largest piano technology convention. A smaller convention for the southeast region is taking place in October in Jacksonville, FL, and the 2023 Piano Technicians Guild Convention will take place in Arlington, VA.
