It all started when…

I began my piano instruction at age six. Around this time I also discovered I had perfect musical pitch, and my love for music has grown since then. During my time in college at Lipscomb University, I successfully completed the following exams administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of music: Grade 5 theory exam, Grade 8 piano performance exam, and the Diploma piano performance exam. In 2012, I performed an hour-long recital at Lipscomb University with the majority of the musical selections memorized. With encouragement from my piano teacher, I began pursuing my career in piano technology. I spoke to the tech who takes care of Lipscomb’s pianos, and after a short meeting, he invited me to join the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG). Since 2015 I have committed myself to learn and practicing this ever-scarce trade. I get satisfaction out of working on a piano and making it beautiful and enjoyable to play and listen to.
