Welcome to Simply Piano: Tuning, Repair, Events where I strive to make your piano enjoyable to play by offering various services. Check them out below!

Standard Service Call

No one likes to play on an out-of-tune piano, and most people probably don’t enjoy playing on a piano that’s difficult to play. That’s why during my standard service call I not only tune your piano but can also do touch-up voicing to improve the sound as well as touch-up regulation which can improve the feel. Cost: $125

Pitch Raise

Pitch Raise: Sometimes if it’s been a while since the piano has been tuned it will drift way off from where it’s supposed to be. If you play middle C and it sounds like B natural then the piano certainly needs a pitch raise. This service is necessary to minimize string breakage. Following a pitch raise and fine-tuning the piano may drift back to its previous tuning rather quickly, but with consistent, regular tunings the piano should eventually settle into the new tuning. A fine-tuning is included with every pitch raise. Cost: $225

Full Voicing

The piano hammers are constantly hitting the strings while the instrument is being played. Over time grooves will appear in the felt of the hammers which affects the tone. Unlike touch-up voicing, I will go through every hammer and needle, reshape, and/or iron as needed. These actions will alter the composition of the felt and eliminate hammer grooves thereby improving the tone. Cost: $120

Cleaning

A clean house and furniture are wonderful things. When I clean my own house this includes my piano too. Keeping the piano clean ensures it doesn’t attract any rodents as well as helps maintain a crisp, clean sound. I can periodically vacuum, dust, and polish your piano inside and out as well as clean the piano keys (even ivory). Cost: $100

Piano technology encompasses many different types of services. In an effort to expand on the services that I offer I attend local, monthly chapter meetings as well as regional and national conventions offered by the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG). Additionally, I am studying for a series of piano exams to take my skills to the next level. All of this allows me to better serve you, my client. For more information on the PTG visit www.ptg.org
